Project Description
WorkSource Pierce is Washington state's federally funded program that provides employment resources, training, and direction to Pierce County's workforce. In the beginning of 2020, WorkSource Pierce was operating on a single Wordpress blog and was not driving a lot of traffic, except for its popular WorkSource Weekly postings.
A need was quickly identified for a way for customers to access information about resources and programs online. This proved to be especially crucial with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when resources could only be offered digitally. The website now receives over 3,000 views a month and features many resources for Pierce County residents including a full-service job board with openings across Pierce County, a workshop calendar that displays monthly events from all of WorkSource's many partners, and self referral pages for multiple jobseeker programs.
